P0014 Magic Circle Law Firm – Job Spec – PMO Analyst – 1 Permanent / 1 Fixed Term Contract

 

Our Client is regarded as the world’s premier law firms and they maintain this position through sustained investment in knowledge management and also continually drive their business forward through a strategic portfolio of value-adding projects. They want a passionate Programme Management Office (PMO) Analysts to join their central business PMO and help govern the exciting business change programmes.

Our client is looking for you if: 

- You are a PMO professional with 3-5 years demonstrable experience and want to play a key role in the evolution and operation and of the PMO function;

- You have advanced Microsoft skills (particularly in Excel, Powerpoint and Project) i.e. you enjoy creating tools in these packages and are comfortable doing pivot tables, VLookups/HLookups and recording the odd macro etc

- You're experienced in core Programme / Project Management methodologies (you must have at least a PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification) and may also have other complementary certifications e.g. PMI, PPSO, Six Sigma (Green Belt or above) etc; 
- You have some exposure to relevant software tools such as MS Project, MS Sharepoint, Hummingbird DM5, Mercury ITG, Niku Clarity, Microsoft EPM, Primavera, Planview etc; 
- PMO excites you - from Risk to Earned Value, Planning to Quality, Procurement to Resource Management, Communications to Finance - and you want to be involved in the tactical side of programme management; 
- Even though you are already smart, you constantly crave more knowledge. For you, life is about learning something, and achieving something, every day; 
- You will take on responsibility for: aiding the support, planning, and monitoring of major IS Programmes, supporting the PMO Lead and other senior stakeholders, and delivering small projects when requested. Your skills will include, at least some of, the following: monitoring schedule/milestones, reporting, communications, configuration, risk & issue management, resource management, quality assurance, benefits realisation etc; 

- You may have some business analyst skills which you can leverage if required;
- You love working in dynamic teams (would be comfortable managing a small offshore team) and are confident interacting with senior stakeholders; and 
- You're driven and always keen to look at old problems in innovative ways but you also know when to use the tried and tested approach.
